On a jet plane…

Feb 18, 2010 001

There he sat

On his airplane

Books stacked as high as his ears

For reading material on his trip

To see his Grammy

He flew through the air

Piloting his jet plane

Navigating all the way to Florida

Got off the plane

Imagined that he saw his Grammy

And told her it was time to come home…

We dropped her off this morning

And miss her already

Fynn said to me, “I’m just sad Mommy. I miss Grammy”

Paige grunted in agreement

I told him I understood

And lifted him up for an airplane ride around the living room

Arms spread wide open

Eyes dancing with memories

  5. Awwwww – that is so sweet. And wow! He can draw really well!

I haven’t said yet, either, how cool it is that we both have a Fynn/Finn. Any kid with such an awesome name has got to be cute… čÖé

  10. awwww, I’m sure you all will miss her terribly.

  11. What a wonderful visit you all must have had. The good thing about grandparents living far is that the visits are that much more special. I’m lucky to have my parents so close but I hope my kids never take their frequent visits for granted!

  12. Poor little kiddo. G feels the same way about my mom. He often packs his entire closet in a bag and tells me he’s leaving for Grandma Puppy’s house. So sweet, but so sad at the same time.
I hope her absence isn’t unbearable.

  13. May our eyes always dance with memories.
May our words always shine this bright.

    Beautiful stuff.

  14. I miss my Mommy tooooooo!

  15. It’s always sad when our grammies go home. Thank goodness our imaginations can fly us there and back to visit for an afternoon.

You doing all right flying solo again?

  16. You do have a way with words, Corinne. Your children are blessed to have you for a mommy. Your love of them shines in your photos and your writing.
